I love this… Guerilla artist Banksy, he of the doctored Paris Hilton CDs placed in UK record store bins and fetching record EBay prices, placed a life-sized replica of a Guantanamo detainee, hooded and shackled, in a Disneyland ride:
It is understood to have remained in place for 90 minutes before the ride was closed down and the figure removed.
A spokeswoman for Banksy said the stunt was intended to highlight the plight of terror suspects at the controversial detention centre in Cuba.
Banksy is notorious for his secretive and subversive stunts – such as sneaking doctored versions of classic paintings into major art galleries.
The figure was found in the brush of the Big Mountain Thunder Railroad.

The obviously fictutious scenes slamming Clinton officials have garnered all the attentiion. And with good reason. But there were far more insidious bits of propganda all throughout the thing. Like the offhanded comments about how a laptop seized in a raid from Ramzi Yousef couldn’t be used in the US because of that pesky ole due process of law. Or that suggestion that only pre 9/11 ninnies have a problem with the Gvt spying on their phone calls. This was nothing but sick, twisted agitprop that could have been written by the White House or the RNC.

After an unprecedented letter writing campaign, criticism from presidents, cabinet officials, members of the 9/11 commission and others, ABC-Disney aired “The Path to 9/11” as scheduled last night.
Nothing was changed, despite ABC-Disney’s claims that edits were being made right up until broadcast. Well, they modified the disclaimer to say that the movie, advertised as “The Official Story” of 9/11, contained fictionalized scenes and was not a documentary.
Don’t let them off that easy. Use your power as a consumer to seek alternatives to this company, who sees no problem fictionalizing the worst moment in our nation’s history to fulfill a political agenda.
If you don’t believe this is true, watch tonight for George W. Bush’s “we are safer now, but you still need to be scared shitless of terrorists and Democrats” speech, scheduled to run IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE.
There is no shame in this corporate media behemoth, and this should offend you, whatever side of the political aisle you’re on.
